If you pilgrimage to Turin Cathedral, you will be able to obtain a commemorative piece like this print on thick canvas (left), brought back when it was on display in 1998. According to shroud.com, over two million pilgrims over a two-month period visited.
This is only the 6th time in about 100 years that it has been available for public veneration.
Why is it displayed now?
Turin is also associated with Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, Saint Mary Mazzarello, and St John Bosco, who was born 200 years ago in August. His famous adult life was spent working in Turin.
