Today, I am sorting out the details and needs for a chasuble and several accompanying items.
This is an independent project which I am completing alongside a very wonderful seamstress out of New York.
Shown are two of the chasuble fabrics selected and in a most interesting manner and some of the trim
Much of what I do is custom, one of a kind creation.
My Miraculous Medal painting was photographed then a fine art, museum GICLEE canvas was ordered. The background you see, for example, has been painted gold.
After completion, the image was fitted into a beautiful, Marian chasuble mandorla and can be removed when it is time to launder the chasuble "shell" as it is 100% washable.
Painted liturgical vestments and paraments have a long and honored tradition within the church. Any of my artworks, in fact, can be customized in this way.
