We've worked out a simple, original design for the morning workshop and in anticipation of the upcoming Three Kings Feast Day. The students will complete a Renaissance Dove during the afternoon portion. The younger students in the group are on Christmas break.
The class consisted of two parts. Leading the first, I used this simple image of the three kings riding to give understanding of the varying concepts and techniques of this unique medium. After lunch, Christi continued with a fast-paced illustration of a dove. We were please with the outcome of the workshop and plan to continue in the future. ~Paul Jentz
On the Feast:"It is true that the Magi found a poor, weak child, attended by poor parents. But through their faith they recognized and acknowledged the helpless Infant as the Redeemer and King of the world, and as such they adored Him, In the Feast of Christmas Christ is shown as man to a few of His chosen souls; in the Feast of the Epiphany, on the other hand, He appears to the whole world as God.
