Just completed... a quick snapshot on the left.
I'll be revisiting the orb and border with more gold intensity, maybe a touch up here and there and then it's good to go. I'm experimenting with "neo" medieval styles.

In this scene, there’s a hand holding a heart at the base instead of a specific person, this makes it more universal.
The jewel tones applied in many layers make for a wonderfully vibrant and rich image, especially in egg tempera.
This egg tempera version was painted on clay board, 11x14.
