The above National Museum of Women in the Arts (NMWA) greeting was in my email box today. They are hosting the Picturing Mary exhibition which is curated by Monsignor Verdon, in consultation with Kathryn Wat, chief curator,NMWA; and facilitated by Hugh Dempsey, former director of the Pope John Paul II Cultural Center, Washington, D.C. I've been a fan of Verdon's writings ever since the publication of his book Mary in Western Art. There are several related programs listed on the exhibit home page. I am looking forward to their spring workshop in 2015.
Blog "notes" are simply personal reflections and subject to editing. I often update these with more photos, information, and corrections. Before posting or publishing elsewhere you might inquire.

Original artwork, as opposed to a print of any type, is quite wonderful and by far the most sumptuous and "tactile" of all.
I accept art commissions.
Website Anniversary 2017
This website is dedicated to the Blessed Mother. My first "Note" was published on September 8th, 2013. With every reflection, imperfect as some are, I've learned a little more about my God, myself, and the faith culture that I love.
"Devotion to you, O Blessed Virgin, is a means of salvation which God gives to those whom he wishes to save." --Saint John Damascene
