Sent to me by Paul Jentz. He is reconstructing the large rose window below. A local church had a pretty extensive electrical fire several years ago. Currently they are restoring as much as possible. "Jesus and the Children" is one of the surviving windows: Since an existing pattern is missing, the destroyed pieces needed to be recreated according to the artisan's imagination and in keeping with the original design. During the fire, the stained glass window lead melted into a mangled mess. All had to be carefully removed. The salvaged glass pieces needed cleaning and repair. The white lines in picture above indicate where the lead seams used to be. The lead will be reintroduced during the final stage.
