Consider the Lilies Painting A carefree bouquet of Lily-of-the-Valley is juxtaposed over the grand piano keys. The little flowers have done nothing complicated or deserved to warrant this honor of place (having been unceremoniously plopped down), nonetheless, as you see below, they’ve brilliantly taken center stage. Consider the Lilies (Lilies) is a contemplation representing two of the many ways that God gifts and is generous to us. A pianist, for example, might spend decades to perfect his or her skill whereas these wildflowers, in contrast, simply seem to grow, look beautiful and give joy without effort. Family My niece, a piano player, asked that I save this painting for her while she was still in college and unsettled. Of course, at the time all I could agree to was a "maybe". I continued to show this painting at events where I sold art print reproductions but not the original, although offers to purchase were made. More Time Passed Then in June of this year, my niece and her husband purchased a home and happily moved into it with their brand new baby in tow. It certainly seemed like the right time to gift this painting to them and so I did. Below view the photos sent to me by my niece. They show the area where Lilies is now located and might eventually be hung. I know that this painting will grace this home and be treasured for many years to come. Consider the Lilies was completed in egg tempera on an 8x10 Claybord and has a framed value of $850. Paint commissions are always welcome and can be constructed according to client needs. Art print reproductions are available.
