Since the Annunciation is celebrated in March, I thought to share another view of the large round ~28" egg tempera & gold leaf painting. It is one that I completed in time for Christmas 2020 and one of six that now adorn an elegant church in Wisconsin. The rich golden background complements the vibrant church windows and variegated, "Italianate" clay brick walls. Each painting was inserted into a cement roundel at about 15 to 20 feet up from the ground. To view that process, refer to the side bar, short video. Currently, it is the top one. Included, additionally, is an article about the Annunciation. It was included in the March 2022 newsletter of the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe. Situated on a towering hill, Guadalupe Shrine is one of the newer Marian destinations in Wisconsin and splendid. Another Annunciation, completed in 2018, graces my home. It compliments a Marian paint series that is slowly developing. Not for sale at this time, however, I often take orders for prints.
