I ordered a stock of pigments for the spring workshop. Unfortunately the products arrived too late, in fact much later. As shipping goes these days, remember to order supplies well in advance. My son, who is an expert craftsman ( I've posted on him before), designed a trellis for us in the traditional tongue and groove manner without a single nail. A belated Christmas gift and quite excellent. I am finally getting around to staining it now. Because... You see the neighbor's old tree in the background? With branches are wide spread and rather humongous? Well, parts of it came down in a dramatic way. Power in our area was out about 5 days as a result. Clean up and landscape repair is ongoing. One of its branches actually hit the power line and snapped it in two like a toothpick. Fortunately, by God's grace, it did not hit our home as the fall line was in a different direction. Hopefully, our neighbors who only moved in recently, will now discern the need to radically reduce the size of this specimen and two others just like it. They remain accidents waiting to happen. :)
