ABOUT Workshops are offered on a per request basis and typically for 8 students or more. The determined day & schedule will be worked to accommodate group needs. To organize a workshop in 2020 please fill out the inquiry at the bottom of this page. Fee: $75.00 per student due at the time of registration. Fee is $60 Without the tour the and can be scheduled any day of the week. Allow approximately 4 1/2 hours to complete the sketch with pigment markers outline & pigment paint wash. Stained Glass ART workshop with the tour: This is scheduled on a weekday to accommodate the Stained Glass Studio business hours. Students provide their own group transportation to Oconomowoc. It is an easy location to find. I take care of all arrangements to the studio and lunch site. Completed workshop. Morning Schedule:Where: Brookfield Studio or an agreeable site location. The first half of the workshop which runs from 9am to about 1:30 pm. Selections from the accompanying morning power-point presentation: What: A workshop where students will complete, in guided quick steps, a frame-able, miniature angel painting (sketch) using the pattern provided: The light and colors reflecting through this window are a suburb, more contemporary, example of what the medieval Abbot Suger first hoped that the expansion of colorful, church windows would accomplish : "The noble work is bright, but, being nobly bright, the work should brighten the minds, allowing them to travel through the lights to the true light, where Christ is the true door".
Open to mature teens and adults. All instruction, no matter what the subject, is based on traditional and historic Christian art teachings and practices. Afternoon Schedule optional Students will meet in scenic downtown Oconomowoc for lunch (not included in the fee) and tour an historical stained glass art studio. Students provide their own transportation. Included in the FEE is Bristol paper, archival paints and pen, brush, white custom mat, miscellaneous studio supplies and "know how".
