The post on the icon of St Ephrem/Ephraim has been moved HERE Stella Maris. Star of the Sea. Shown below in progress and completed was painted on a handmade, 3'L x18"W, thick gesso board using high grade, custom mixed, acrylic paint. This painting can be customized to suite your requirements.  Mary, Mother of God, reigning Queen of Heaven and Earth, is depicted with Jesus who is holding a golden globe of the world. The lower section is where the title will be located, as specified upon purchase, and located within the sphere surrounded by an original scene of water, land, and sky. Ave Stella Maris is a beautiful hymn to the Mother of God and was introduced about the 8th century. It developed more through the ages and has been identified with various spiritual and temporal causes and concerns throughout the ages. An associated prayer is Stella Coeli.
